An architectural gem in the Old Town of Korcula, St Mark’s Cathedral was built between the 14th and the 16th centuries.
A number of architects worked on the design, including Italian architect Bonino da Milano who created in the central doorway a real masterpiece.
Inside, you can admire the central nave, dedicated to St Mark, protector of the city. There are also numerous paintings by Jacopo Tintoretto adorning the altars.
Dalmatian tapas and natural wines are the mainstay at this establishment, although it has expanded its range to serve starters and mains including pasta, vegetables and fish, all made with local ingredients.
The setting itself is very pleasant, notably the outdoor area which enjoys a fantastic view of the town's historic buildings.
A setting which becomes even more magical in the evenings, when lit by candlelight.
Filippi restaurant stands on the Petar Kanavelic Promenade. Offering a magnificent view over the islands of the Korcula archipelago, this establishment boasts a fabulous setting for any meal. When the sun is out, there's nothing nicer than sitting out on the terrace. The interior dining room, with its stone walls, is just as charming.
And as for the food, the restaurant offers modern Dalmatian cuisine made with local produce. Dishes are healthy, visually attractive and contemporary in style, as well as being delicious.
LD stands for Lešic Dimitri, the name of the magnificent palace which houses this restaurant. The setting is sublime, beside the sea with a glorious view. If you don't feel like dining on the terrace, the palace itself offers a refined, comfortable setting.
The menu is all about the fresh seasonal ingredients, with seafood and locally sourced meat and vegetables. The restaurant has developed a culinary identity based on the Dalmatian culinary tradition.
