While a few details could be improved, our stay was truly delightful. The ground-floor apartment (no. 101) offers an exceptional sea view: a daily and vibrant spectacle with the changing tides. The kitchen, although compact, remains very functional for a holiday. Between the pool area with its sun deck and the immediate proximity to a large beach bustling with water sports, all the ingredients are there for a wonderful family vacation.
The residence is ideally located just a few hundred meters from the beach. The free, included parking is a real plus, as is the indoor pool. The reception staff is very friendly and competent. The apartment was clean and well-equipped with appliances.
A real disappointment with this exchange
We were very disappointed with our stay at the Pierre & Vacances Premium Residence.
As owners of a Pierre & Vacances apartment, we arranged this exchange expecting to enjoy comfortable accommodation within the residence. However, we were particularly disappointed to discover our apartment in building 6, located on the second row from the beach.
As part of an exchange between owners, I was informed by reception that it was not possible to have a beachfront apartment, even by paying extra. I find this all the more regrettable as the beachfront apartments are quite nice and offer a beautiful view.
We thought we would have a sea view, as advertised in the booking. In reality, our apartment mainly overlooked the hedges of a very narrow garden, completely enclosed between neighboring gardens. Privacy was therefore very limited, as the occupants of the apartments to the right and left could easily walk right past our garden.
Another disappointment: the overall exterior condition of building 6. The plaster is peeling in places, and some common areas have broken tiles, giving an impression of insufficient maintenance and contrasting sharply with the image one would expect from a Pierre & Vacances premium residence.
What particularly disappoints me as an owner is the feeling that an exchange doesn't allow access to the best-located apartments, even though some apartments on higher floors offer a much more unobstructed sea view and a far more pleasant setting.
We still enjoyed our stay in the region, but the accommodation and its location clearly didn't meet our expectations, and certainly not the image we had of a Pierre & Vacances stay as owners in a premium residence.
