A fantastic entertainment team. Ideal for quiet families with young children.
We really appreciated the welcoming atmosphere at the on-site riding club.
We spent a week at the Pierre & Vacances resort on a half-board basis. Overall, the stay was pleasant, with excellent facilities and a particularly nice setting, but a few points deserve mention.
The half-board option was a very pleasant surprise! Breakfast was quite simple, but there was enough choice for everyone to enjoy a good meal. In the evening, we particularly enjoyed the Café des Arts restaurant: the à la carte menu was excellent, the dishes were delicious and very generous, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. A real highlight of our stay!
Regarding the accommodation, even though it was advertised as renovated, we found it rather outdated and aging, lacking in amenities. Nevertheless, it was perfectly adequate for a week's holiday.
However, we were disturbed by construction work carried out all week in the neighboring apartment, which was occupied by owners. The noise particularly disrupted our young son's nap. It's a shame that this type of work can take place during holiday periods and to the detriment of other vacationers' peace and quiet.
Our biggest disappointment concerns the outdoor pool. We specifically chose this resort for its outdoor pool, which was advertised as heated until November 1st, particularly so we could enjoy it with our child. Unfortunately, the water never exceeded 25°C throughout the entire week, a temperature far too cool to truly enjoy with a young child. This is truly regrettable, especially since this amenity was clearly a major factor in our booking decision.
The resort itself, however, is magnificent: a beautiful natural setting, perfectly maintained grounds, impeccable cleanliness, and superb facilities for children. It's a truly pleasant environment for a family vacation.
Finally, a quick reminder regarding dog owners would be appreciated: some clearly don't bother to pick up after their pets (the small square opposite our accommodation was literally littered with droppings at the end of the week) and also don't respect the requirement to keep their dogs on a leash within the grounds.
In short, a very beautiful site with real advantages, a restaurant we thoroughly enjoyed, and excellent family-friendly facilities. However, we left somewhat disappointed with the swimming pool, which was one of our main criteria for choosing this place, as well as a few inconveniences that could have been avoided.
