The town of Salou has several fountains that have become genuine public attractions. The first, the light fountain, was built in 1973. Many spectators come to discover it, and for good reason: its jets with many combinations of water games, music and light create a magical show.
Similarly, the cybernetic fountains, opened in 2007, produce an equally magical show.
The labyrinth fountain is also worth a look.

Take the time to go for a stroll along the Avenida Jaume I in Salou. Start from the seafront, where you will find a range of shops, selling souvenirs, ice cream, beach equipment and so on. There are also many restaurants and cafes in this area, where you can eat or drink, lulled by the sound of the waves breaking on the shore. Palm trees and fountains guide you up the avenue. This is a great spot for an evening walk at sunset, or an after dinner stroll.
Salou boasts four different beaches. The Los Capellanes Beach is 200 metres long and is easily accessible on foot. The beach is bordered by cliffs at either end, and several apartment buildings have sprung up on these cliffs. On the beach, the water is clean and clear, and you can hire sun loungers for the day. There are also three showers available on each side.

East of Salou, the coastline is dotted with rocky creeks, hidden bays with sheltered, turquoise waters and beautiful natural surroundings. Quiet and far from the bustle of the town centre, these creeks are perfect for those who like to enjoy a little tranquillity, deep in nature. There are few houses around here. The Penya Tallada creek is one of the most magnificent settings for a swim. Relax in the clear waters, surrounded by a spectacular backdrop of rocky cliffs, pine forests, and lush Mediterranean vegetation. Numerous paths lead onwards to other creeks. Don't forget your snorkel and goggles so you can see the little fishes that live among the rocky coves.
