      Village d'Eze

      Located between Nice and Monaco, on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Mediterranean Sea at 429 metres above sea level, the village of Eze is a very picturesque international tourist attraction. This medieval site is one of the most beautiful villages of Provence. Visitors can discover the exotic gardens dotted with sculptures by Jean-Philippe Richard, the château ruins and the church, and stroll through the charming the narrow streets leading to La Chèvre d'Or Relais & Châteaux.
      Perfume enthusiasts can also visit the factory and Galimard perfumery.

      Monaco Oceanographic Museum

      The Monaco Oceanographic Museum is both an exhibition space and an aquarium. The spaces on the first floor are devoted to the history of oceanography and present collections of natural history, art and ethnography. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions on the ground floor.

      The tour continues in the aquarium, where kids and adults can view over 6,000 specimens. The tropical area fish tank and colourful corals put on a fascinating show for visitors. But the highlight of the tour is probably the shark lagoon, where the public can see sting rays, turtles and other marvellous creatures from the oceans.

      The walk through the French style gardens formed in the shape of a boat, features romantic waterfalls and ponds, as well as the Temple of Love. The tour continues past the Spanish and Florentine gardens. The former is a covered patio and the latter boasts flowering water hyacinths.

      In the Provencal and exotic gardens, the cacti and narrow paths transport strollers on a voyage that extends into the lapidary and Japanese gardens. Finally, the numerous varieties of roses blooming in the rose garden reveal their intoxicating scents, best appreciated from May to July.

      Menton Fine Arts Museum - Carnolès Palace

      The Menton Museum of Fine Arts has moved to the former Palace of the Princes of Monaco. Indeed, the Palais de Carnolès alone is well worth the visit and the collections of paintings and works of art on show there definitely merit the detour.

      Admire the gilded doors, the delicate woodwork and the magnificent ceiling that make this place a splendid setting for the paintings of the great masters. The museum houses paintings from the early Italian and Flemish schools and also boasts a large collection of modern art including paintings from the School of Paris. Visitors are also free to stroll in the gardens of the Palace, where they will discover more than 70 contemporary sculptures.
