Rocher de Roquebrune is a national interest listed site and totals 372 metres. From up high, you benefit from a 360° view over the valley of Argens, Fréjus as well as Estérel and even the Alps.
At the summit, are the three crosses sculpted by Bernard Vernet which are a homage to the painters, Giotto, Grünewald and El Greco.
To admire all this from close up, there is nothing like The 3 crosses route of Rocher de Roquebrune. Of a total distance of approximately 7km for a 500m height difference, it will delight hiking fans.
The history of the Port de Sainte-Maxime dates from the eighteenth century. At the time, it was a place of embarkation for goods such as wine, oil, cork, wood, grains and vegetables. It was only in the late 1930s that the trading port became a marina.
Located in the heart of the city, the harbour is a bustling place, where it's pleasant to walk. Visitors can discover old colourful fishing boats moored at the Quai des Pêcheurs (Fisherman's Wharf). Certified a "clean port" the Port de Sainte-Maxime respects the environment for the pleasure of sailors and walkers.
