We rented three apartments for an event in early June.
The location was fantastic, between Deauville and Trouville. The pool was lovely, the apartments spacious and well laid out, clearly high-end.

However, one of the three apartments (the one facing the customs area) had a putrid smell.

Despite the intervention of the maintenance team, the smell persisted (likely a fishy odor due to the proximity of the garbage bins outside). We spent the night in this horrible stench before being offered another apartment the next day.
Despite my complaints, the only compensation offered was a refund of the parking fees, amounting to 48 euros. This is unacceptable for a company claiming to be premium and 5-star.
I have been trying to contact customer service for three weeks now and have received no response. It's appalling to have such poor customer service. I will never book with the Pierre & Vacances group again.

A very nice residence, very well located (close to amenities and tourist attractions).

The stay was very pleasant despite the gloomy weather.

A very disappointing stay for a residence advertised as 5 stars.

We regularly visit Deauville and wanted to try this residence.

We arrived around noon to reserve a parking space (€12 per day). We were asked to return at 4 pm to collect the keys to our accommodation. As a reminder, accommodations are advertised as available from 4 pm for short stays and from 5 pm for weekly rentals.

At 4 pm, we went to reception and learned that our accommodation wasn't ready. We waited and then returned at 4:30 pm. We were then told that someone was checking that everything was perfect before our arrival. At 4:40 pm, the accommodation was still unavailable because the floor was still wet. Finally, at 4:55 pm, we were offered access to the accommodation despite the floor not being completely dry, which we accepted.

With a 3-year-old and a 6-month-old baby, this extra hour of waiting was particularly inconvenient. In the end, we only got our accommodation at 5 pm, the same as a weekly rental. No compensation was offered, on the pretext that the accommodations are available "from 4 pm."

We could have overlooked this inconvenience if the accommodation had actually been thoroughly inspected, as we had been assured. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we noticed numerous problems:

* Presence of spiders and cobwebs.

* Mold in the shower.

* Traces of brown liquid under the toilet.

* Broken toilet flush button.

* Extremely noisy bed, to the point of waking us with the slightest movement.

* Dirty footboard with brown stains.

* Holes in the bedspread and towels.
* Dirty light switches.

* Patio door that doesn't close.
* Request for two double beds not fulfilled.

* The floor was wet in several places in the entrance and living room the very next day, giving the impression that something had just been spilled. And it kept coming back even after cleaning. We never figured out where the water was coming from. This caused our 3-year-old child to fall.

* The terrace was very dirty (floor and furniture).

* Soap residue on the edge of the bathtub.

* The living room table was dirty.

* A used coffee pod was left in the coffee machine.

* Dishes were left in the dishwasher.

In addition, the soundproofing was inadequate. Whether facing the street or the building, we could clearly hear people talking, shouting, running, etc. We could also hear the occupants of the apartment above. This lack of peace and quiet is particularly regrettable for an establishment of this category, especially when staying with young children.

Another disappointing point: our apartment had no shutters. The curtains let in a lot of light. This is particularly problematic when traveling with children who go to bed before dark and wake up after sunrise. We noticed that some other apartments in the residence were equipped with shutters, making this difference difficult to understand.

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the apartment and the presence of two bathrooms, which is very convenient for a family. However, these positive aspects do not compensate for the obvious lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and quality control.

At this level of luxury and price, this type of service is simply unacceptable. A 5-star residence should offer impeccable accommodations from the moment guests arrive. Between the delayed check-in, the lack of any compensation, and the overall condition of the apartment, the experience falls far short of the standards one has the right to expect from an establishment of this category.
