First stay in this Pierre et Vacances residence. The location, central in Chamonix, is a real asset which allows you to do everything on foot. The wellness area, swimming pool, is also very pleasant, clean, a real plus. That's it for the positives.
However, this residence does not deserve 4****, particularly with regard to the cost of the stay in relation to the services offered. The accommodation is quite dilapidated, far from high standard. The furniture is worn, stained... you can see that it has aged and no longer quite meets expectations in this type of establishment. Average cleaning on arrival...

For the overall assessment, it will therefore be mixed.

2nd stay in this residence:
➡️ In February 2023, very good. ?
➡️ In March 2024, very disappointing. ?

- Very dark ground floor accommodation (light must be on at all times)
- Housekeeping left very seriously to be desired upon our arrival (stained cushions, smell of urine in the entrance toilets + those in the shower room, dirty dishes, sticky table +++, dishwasher with a grease deposit , dust, dirty floors, crumbs falling from the chair, used bandage stuck on the lamp in the children's room, chewing gum in their sheets etc...)
- Infiltration with mold on the walls of the 2 bedrooms, general appearance old and worn.
This does not deserve a 4* designation.
Email to the director, who calls us back. We first offer to offer mid-stay cleaning. Cleaning that should have been done before our arrival! Then offers to offer us parking for the week. Then one night in a Pierre et Vacances of our choice. In the end, reimbursement for one night in this residence.
The location of the Residence is very good. Very kind staff. But this accommodation (1, Flégère) is not at all what was expected and is not worth the asking price.
I was surprised by some of the reviews regarding the cleaning and the dated and worn appearance of the accommodation, but after this week, we understood.

The location is perfect, right next to the train station and close to all attractions.

The receptionist was very welcoming. The apartment is well equipped, but it is rather small and the decoration is a bit dated, especially the floor slats in the bedroom, which creak when you walk on them, and at night you often hear creaking noises when walking upstairs.

The pool is a bonus, we took our small child to enjoy it and we didn't have to worry about the water temperature even in winter.
