I stayed with my wife at the end of May for 7 days in the Hotel El Puerto, (3 stars)
I must say that my expectations were exceeded.
The rooms are not very big but welcoming and with request you can also have a room with a lateral sea view without a supplement. The hotel is not brand new but well-kept and clean.
Very kind, welcoming and very helpful staff.
Truly excellent quality food. Abundant breakfast.
Dinner with not a huge choice which is not always necessary.
I must say that everything was good and tasted great.
I personally complimented the chef.
What I really liked was the fact that we were facing the sea and it was enough to cross the road to reach one of the well-equipped beaches. Price for a beach umbrella and two deck chairs with attached soft mattresses of 10 cm of thickness incredible 14 Euros in the first and fourth row.
For those who love the evening walk there is a beautiful promenade along the sea. Ultimately I must admit that I chose well both the place (Fuengirola) and also our accommodation.
I absolutely recommend visiting the beautiful city of Malaga which can be easily reached by train. But also the characteristic town of Mijas which can be reached by bus. The train and bus station are about 500 meters from the hotel.
Ultimately it was a beautiful holiday and I hope to return to the extraordinary Costa del Sol.
