A magnificent setting near Port Grimaud

I always come here. I've been many times and I must say the positives outweigh the negatives. Excellent location, a beautiful pool, and the surrounding nature and views are superb. The only downside might be that the apartments are quite worn, but it's perfectly fine for a holiday :)

We spent a week here with five people. Overall, we had a lovely holiday, although alongside the many positive aspects, there were also a few points of criticism.

The complex itself is beautifully situated above Port Grimaud. The pool area is large, well-maintained, and offers plenty of fun for children with its wave pool and slides. It was only about a two-minute walk from our apartment to the pool. The apartment was sufficiently large for five people and well-equipped with two toilets and three bathrooms. We particularly appreciated the German-speaking management of the holiday apartments. There's also a lot on offer for children: a football pitch, tennis, basketball, table tennis, a playground, as well as daily entertainment and activities at the pool.

Unfortunately, it's noticeable in many places that the apartment is showing its age. The kitchen lacked larger bowls for cereal or soup, and the hot water wasn't sufficient for five people to shower consecutively.

We felt the rules at the pool were a bit excessive. Eating on the sun loungers is completely forbidden, the slides are only open for about 10-15 minutes at a time and alternate with the wave pool. There are even two lifeguards at a relatively small water slide. The whirlpool is reserved exclusively for adults. On top of that, the prices at the kiosk are quite high – we found €12 for a Margherita pizza rather expensive.

The biggest drawback, however, is the access to the resort. Only vehicles up to a maximum height of 2.10 meters are permitted. We were traveling in a high-roof station wagon with a roof box, which brought our vehicle height to about 2.20 meters. Every time, the gatekeeper had to come and move the barrier aside so we could enter or exit. This became really inconvenient and annoying in the long run. This should definitely be made clearer when booking.

Overall, it's a nice holiday resort with many activities for families, but there's room for improvement in some areas.

A very disappointing 15-day stay. The apartment was aging and hadn't seen better days.
It wasn't maintained, and the cleaning was extremely poor. There was a hole in the bathtub, and the terrace was filthy. The slide was only usable at certain times of the day, and only for children. Inflatable rings were forbidden in the pool! There was no restaurant or convenience store open. The playground was not maintained. The refrigerator broke down during the night. We waited over 5 hours for a replacement, wasting time on our stay and wasting money, as half of the refrigerator had to be thrown away. There was no compensation offered. We also forgot a bag of laundry when we left. After waiting five days to find out if it would be available, reception said the bag was no longer in the apartment, even though it was still unoccupied... The bag vanished by some miracle, perhaps? ? I call that theft, plain and simple... In short, a stay that cost the equivalent of a month's minimum wage and didn't live up to our expectations or the website's advertising at all. We won't be back.
