Apart from a technical mishap (door blocked, I stayed 1 hour in the toilet... because that's how long it took us to reach the reception/technical services from 7:45 am...) impeccable stay.

This is our fourth stay with our two grandchildren at Belle Dune. Despite the gloomy weather, we had a truly wonderful time. The reception staff were available and efficient, the restaurant and bar staff were very kind (the latter being a new addition this year), and the maintenance team (cleaning, technical work) were professional and essential to the well-being of the guests. And of course, we mustn't forget all the activity leaders who, in addition to the engaging activities they offer to children and adults during the day, brighten up the evenings with their shows and entertainment.

I booked a two-bedroom house. My accommodation was cancelled by Pierre & Vacances. They offered me a smaller one, a single bedroom, with 24 hours' notice to accept, otherwise I'm out. My family was already there: thanks for the "choice."
The new accommodation is €104 cheaper, according to their own email, but they're keeping the difference! Refund? No. Goodwill gesture? No. Reply to my three emails? Still no response.
In the end, I'm stuck sleeping in the same room as someone else—I don't have any privacy! It's that or I lose €1200.

At reception, apart from handling the keys, I don't see the point: one word on repeat: "Booking." Booking is convenient. It avoids taking responsibility, but you're still going to pocket my €1200, right?

Pierre & Vacances has found the perfect formula: fewer accommodations, same price, zero responsibility. Book elsewhere. At least you'll be sleeping in what you paid for.
